Alan Young, star of the classic TV show Mr. Ed and known to Disney fans as the voice of Scrooge McDuck, passed away yesterday at the age of 96.
Young first voiced Scrooge McDuck for the 1983 film Mickey’s Christmas Carol. He went on to play the character in several subsequent projects including Duck Tales and House of Mouse. Some of his other Disney credits include The Great Mouse Detective and an appearance on the ABC series Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
