Danny Elfman and “Nightmare Before Christmas” Returning to Hollywood Bowl this October

Last year fans were delighted when composer and musician Danny Elfman announced a live concert celebrating Nightmare Before Christmas would be held at the Hollywood Bowl the weekend of Halloween. Well it now seems like that concert is one step closer to becoming a tradition as the Los Angeles Times reports that the program will return for two nights this year: October 29th and 30th.

In addition to Elfman reprising his role as the singing voice of Jack Skellington, other Nightmare cast members including Paul Reubens and Catherine O’ Hara are also scheduled to appear. Tickets will go on sale to the public September 9th.

So will this become an L.A. Halloween tradition? One of the show’s producers told the Times said they were taking it “one year at a time” but, if the reaction this year is anything like the last time, you can bet that this will become an annual treat.
