Director S.J. Clarkson returning to the world of Marvel and Netflix. According to Deadline, the helmer of the first two Jessica Jones episodes will also direct the first two episodes of The Defenders, which is set to debut on Netflix next year. She will also be an executive producer on the show’s first season.
“S.J.’s take on the material is outstanding,” Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb said. “We loved her work on Marvel’s Jessica Jones and couldn’t think of a more talented and accomplished person to helm the first two episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders.”
