Carrie Fisher Suffers a Heart Attack on L.A.-Bound Flight

Update (Saturday morning): Over the past several hours there have been conflicting reports on Fisher’s condition. Originally the Associated Press reported that Fisher’s brother Todd had said that the actress was in stable condition. However, he later clarified that she had “stabilized” and was in the intensive care unit. Further information about her condition is still unknown.

Legendary actress Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films, reportedly suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles today. According to TMZ, Fisher went into cardiac arrest about 15 minutes before the flight touched down in L.A. An EMT on board helped perform CPR and she was rushed to the hospital immediately upon landing.
