Michael Mantenuto, Star of Disney’s “Miracle,” Passes Away at Age 35

Actor Michael Mantenuto, who starred as Jack O’Callahan in Disney’s 2004 Olympic hockey film Miracle, has passed away after suffering what is suspected to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to TMZ, Mantenuto was found in his car in Washington state. He was 35 years old.

After starring in Miracle and some other projects, Mantenuto enlisted in the Army. Col. Guillaume Beaurpere wrote in a statement, “Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force.” He is survived by his wife Kati Vienneau, daughter Ava, son Leo, father Ed, and three sisters.
