Disney World Union to Vote on Contract Proposal

Disney’s largest union group will vote on Disney’s latest contract offer. The Service Trades Council Union members will receive an immediate $.50 per hour raise, a $200 cash payment, and a 3% raise each year for two years. The union had been seeking a starting wage bump from $10 per hour to $15.

The union members seem divided on whether they will support this deal. Some view the offer as fair while others believe it is not enough. The contract will be voted on by union members on December 19 and 20.

Both sides agreed to extend the contract another 30 days to allow time to vote on the proposal.
