ABC has decided to pass on Sue Sue in the City, a spinoff of The Middle that would find Sue Heck as a young adult starting her new life in Chicago. The show, produced by Warner Bros. may try to find another outlet to air the show. It is possible that another Disney related venture such as Freeform or Hulu may pick up the show, or it could end up on a non-Disney connected outlet.
The show would have also featured The Middle’s Brock Ciarlelli as well as Chris Diamantopoulos, Kimberley Crossman, Finesse Mitchell and Aaron Branch.
ABC has found a stable lineup of comedies and it is being deduced that they are being selective in picking up additional series, particulary one not being produced by Disney.
