Mark-Paul Gosselaar Joins Cast of “Mixed-ish” as Male Lead

Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been cast in ABC’s Black-ish spinoff, Mixed-ish. Gosselaar will star as Paul Johnson the father of Rainbow Johnson.

  • According to Deadline, Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been cast as the male lead in Mixed-ish the spinoff of ABC’s hit series, Black-ish.
  • Mixed-ish follows a younger Rainbow Johnson and her siblings as they move from a hippie commune to the suburbs. Gosselaar will play Bow’s father Paul Johnson.
  • The role was originated by Anders Holm in the backdoor pilot episode of Black-ish.
  • Deadline says, Gosselaar only recently became available for the role after his Fox drama, The Passage was cancelled.
