According to The Hollywood Reporter, Melissa McCarthy is in talks to portray Ursula in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. The film is set to be directed by Mary Poppins Returns’ Rob Marshall and will feature music by Disney Legend Alan Menken with Moana’s Lin-Manuel Miranda contributing new lyrics.
