Freeform Announces Kickoff to Christmas schedule ranging from Mary Poppins to Simpsons marathons

Freeform has announced the schedule for their Kickoff to Christmas event which runs the month of November. Among the highlights are the Freeform premiere of Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The Winter Soldier, holiday episodes of The Simpsons and the classic Mary Poppins. In addition Freeform will be debuting their original series Wrap Battle and the original film Turkey Drop

About Wrap Battle:

  • A holiday gift-wrapping competition series
  • Debuts Monday, November 25 at 9pm ET/PT and will air two episodes, back to back, each week
  • The six episodes will feature nine contestants as they compete for the grand prize which is valued at $50,000
  • The series is hosted by comedian Sheryl Underwood with Carson Kressley and Wanda Wen serving as judges
  • Celebrity guest judges will include Broadway producer Candy Spelling, Sandra Lee, Sherry Cola, Diggy Simmons, Lala Kent, and designer Sabrina Soto

About Turkey Drop:

  • The film focuses on Lucy Jacobs, a small-town girl who has started her freshman year at a big-city university.
  • When Lucy returns home for Thanksgiving break, she suspects she’s about to get turkey dropped—dumped by her high school sweetheart—during their holiday visit.
  • To avoid a Turkey Day travesty, Lucy gets out of her comfort zone, proving she’s not the same play-it-safe girl she was with her high school boyfriend.
  • As she takes control of her own life and makes choices that put herself first, she learns to let go of what’s been holding her back, helping achieve what she truly wants out of life.
  • The movie stars Olivia Holt, Cheryl Hines, Ben Levine and Tyler Perez.
