Some vintage Star Wars fun is hitting the Disney+ airwaves, as every episode the classic animated series Droids is now available on the popular streaming service.
What’s Happening:
- Star Wars fans can enjoy a vintage animated series chronicling the adventures of our favorite droids from the galaxy far, far away with every episode of the classic series, Droids, now available on Disney+.
- Join R2-D2 and C-3PO as they embark on thrilling adventures powered by heat-stopping perils… and side-splitting fun! Years before they ever met Luke Skywalker, your favorite Star Wars droids roamed the galaxy on their never-ending quest to find what every friendly automaton wants most – a good master!
- All thirteen episodes (and one hour finale) of this action-packed animated series are now available to enjoy and share the early escapades of R2 and 3PO as they explore the farthest reaches of space while they do what they do best… get into trouble! Again and again!
- Originally airing back in 1985, Droids aired on ABC alongside sister series Ewoks as part of The Ewoks and Droids Adventure Hour. The series lasted only one season consisting of 13 half hour episodes, and with an hour-long broadcast in 1986 that served as the finale to the series.
- The series is set before the events of A New Hope as the duo go on adventures for different masters. Over the course of the series, they have three different masters in different story arcs.
- Every episode and the finale of the series are now available to stream on Disney+.
