What’s Happening:

  • Tomorrow marks the 66th anniversary of the opening of Disneyland and in true Disney fashion, the day will be commemorated with magical offerings and wonderful surprises.
  • Disney has announced their anniversary celebration plans which include:
    • A celebratory cavalcade featuring the Disneyland Band, characters, Disneyland Resort Ambassador and more
    • Anniversary-themed caramel apples at Pooh Corner and Candy Palace
    • Celebratory cupcakes at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café
  • Also time for the anniversary celebration, three opening-day attractions were recently reimagined:
  • These popular rides received thoughtful updates from Walt Disney Imagineering that include revised décor and artfully enhanced storylines. Last week in anticipation of the Jungle Cruise reopening, our team enjoyed a sneak peek at the reimagined attraction.
  • Over at Disney California Adventure, another fun reveal for July 17th is the addition of Coco into Mickey’s Philharmagic. Guests can dance in their seats and tap their feet to “Un Poco Loco” as the new scene joins this musical attraction.
  • Finally, guests will also have the chance to enjoy the recently returned nighttime spectaculars Mickey’s Mix Magic and fireworks for the resort’s anniversary celebration.

Good to Know – Visiting Disneyland:

  • To visit a theme park, guests (ages 3 and older) must purchase a valid ticket and make a theme park reservation for the same day and same park they want to visit.
  • A hotel reservation does not guarantee theme park access.
  • As of June 15, 2021, the State of California recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated or receive a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the Disneyland Resort.
