3/14/18: Added information about the Disney H2O Glow Nights events at Typhoon Lagoon

It’s set to be an Incredible Summer at Walt Disney World! This year, the resort will be bringing new entertainment and attractions to all four parks and even unveiling an all-new land: Toy Story Land. While offerings will begin as early as April 22nd and as late as June, the official kick-off will be May 25th. So whether you want to save the day with your favorite superhero family, dance to some awesome classics, become a Wilderness Explorer, or step into the world of Toy Story, here’s your guide to an Incredible Summer at the Walt Disney World Resort:

Magic Kingdom

Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom will promote the release of Incredibles 2 with a “Super” celebration during an Incredible Tomorrowland Expo that celebrates “all things super.” From May 25th through September 3rd, guests can interact with Mr. Incredible, Frozone and other supers from Disney•Pixar’s “The Incredibles” and upcoming “Incredibles 2.” And, for the first time ever, guests will get to see Edna Mode. Tomorrowland will also be decked out with Incredibles décor and sounds from the film. Of course, there will also be a super dance party on the Rocket Tower Stage.

Epcot

Speaking of super heroes, the Guardians of the Galaxy will be invading the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot this summer. Star-Lord and Gamora will join an alien band for a party featuring tracks from Awesome Mix Volumes 1 and 2. Plus, while it won’t be ready by this summer, guests can look forward to a new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction opening in Epcot in the coming years. The group will take the stage five times daily, June 9th through August 19th.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Dinoland U.S.A. has gone fowl as Donald Duck will take over for a “Dino-Tastic” Celebration for Donald Duck that will feature prehistoric elements. Feathered friends Scrooge McDuck and Launchpad McQuack and other friends of Donald will be on hand to meet guests. In addition to bringing his own decorating touch to the land, Donald will throw a nightly dance party where everyone is welcome to “shake their tail feathers.”

Meanwhile, this summer will also mark the debut of UP! A Great Bird Adventure. This new show will feature Russell Dug from Up as they discover species of birds from around the world.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Finally, this summer will also see the grand opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In this new 11-acre land, guests will experience two new attractions, including the family coaster Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers, which features aliens circling about in their flying saucers pulling along rocket ships full of guests. Additionally, the extremely popular Toy Story Mania! will now become part of this new land. If you get a bit peckish during your miniature adventures the new quick-service restaurant Woody’s Lunch Box will be serving tasty meals and old-fashioned soda floats inside Toy Story Land.

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

This summer, Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be hosting a series of special hard ticket events inspired by the Toy Story short “Partysaurus Rex.” As the Disney Parks Blog explains, Disney H2O Glow Nights will transform the water park with unique lighting effects as Buzz, Woody and Jessie throw a Beach Party. Guests will be able to meet these Toy Story pals, dance, play party games, and enjoy the park’s various attractions. These events will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays from June 21st to August 11th, with events running from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets will cost $55 for adults and $50 for children ages 3-9 and will go on sale March 19th.
