DiScala’s encounter with Minnie Mouse would come in handy in later years as the television actress was cast as one of the many Belle’s to play in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast�? on Broadway. DiScala made her Broadway debut as Belle in October 2002 through February 2003.


Kenan Thompson

Kenan Thompson remembers strolling through Disneyland with his friend Kel Mitchell years back when the two were on Nickelodeon. Thompson says he and Mitchell were very excited about seeing the Disney characters on Main Street but nothing could have prepared him for the mob scene that ensued when some teenagers recognized his cable television co-star strolling through the Magic Kingdom.

The star of Nickelodeon’s “All That�? all-kid sketch comedy series, Disney’s “D2: The Mighty Ducks,�? NBC’s “Saturday Night Live�? and last year’s movie “Fat Albert,�? Thompson remembers that after a day of riding the Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain, he and Mitchell were waiting for the Main Street Electrical Parade when they were swarmed by fans. Kenan says he literally had to pull Mitchell from the mob, ripping his shirt as they planned their great escape. Needless to say he lived to tell his story. Hayden Panettiere

Space Mountain is also a favorite of Walt Disney Pictures’ “Ice Princess�? star Hayden Panettiere. One of the youngest stars interviewed for this series, Panettiere says her earliest memory of Disney World was riding Space Mountain with her father. Hayden says “the first time that I went on that ride, I must have been five.�? The now 16-year-old star who has lent her voice to such Disney animated characters as Dot in 1998’s “A Bug’s Life,�? and Suri in 2000’s “Dinosaur,�? says has always been a “gusty thing�? with a love of roller-coasters.
