Interactive offerings include a Disney Music Challenge trivia game, a Sound Effects theater that lets visitors create the tornado scene from The Band Concert, and a mixing board that lets you remix one of four well known Disney musical selections: Pineapple Princess by Annette Funicello, Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me) from the Disneyland attraction, Best of Both Worlds performed by Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana, or The Partys Just Begun by the Cheetah Girls.

Lengthy video presentations cover four major topics: Disneys Early Animation, The Legacy of Disney Music, Disneys Animation Renaissance, and The Music and Making of Mary Poppins. As could be expected from an exhibit devoted to music, there are several audio listening stations as well. Gems from the Disney catalogue range from the familiar to the obscure. One interesting selection presents eight different versions of When You Wish Upon a Star, as interpreted by Cliff Edwards, Dion and the Belmonts, Ronnie Milsap, Ashley Gearing, The Supremes, Wynton Marsalis, Barbara Cook, and Ray Barretto. When You Wish Upon a Star is one of the twenty most recorded songs in American music.

The Western Center for Archaeology and Paleontology is offering special programs to enhance the exhibit. Saturday, March 14 at 2pm finds a presentation by Russell Schroeder, author of Disneys Lost Chords, along with performers who will sing various songs written for Disney classics, but not used. On Thursday, March 19 at 7pm Walt Disney Records producer Randy Thornton and sound engineer Jeff Sheridan will speak on the history of music in the theme parks, accompanied by rare recordings and stories. In April Alex Rannie, professional musician and expert on Disney music will play popular melodies and discuss the history of each song, as well as its impact on popular culture. Also in April will be the Princess for the Day program for young girls. The final day of the exhibit, May 10, will offer a special Mothers Day tea. All scheduled programs are subject to change without notice.
