Disneyland Paris Reaches Major Wish Milestone as Disney Adventure World Gets Inaugurated
And Olaf was involved too!
Along with the inauguration of the new Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris reached a major milestone in their philanthropic commitment, granting their 25,000th wish since they opened back in 1992.
What's Happening:
- Disneyland Paris has reached a major milestone, granting their 25,000th wish for foundations and organizations like Make-A-Wish, Reves, and Petits Princes.
- Since 1992, these wishes have been granted to seriously ill children, and on March 28, the major milestone was reached during the inauguration of the newly reimagined Disney Adventure World at the European destination.
- There, the inauguration ceremony featured a performance by Lou, a child whose wish was granted through Make-A-Wish France, marking 25,000 wishes granted at Disneyland Paris.
- Lou - a fan of Frozen and Olaf - knew she would be singing on stage during the ceremony but was also surprised to be invited by her favorite singer, Santa, to take the stage and sing a bit of "Do You Want To Build A Snowman" in front of an audience of invited guests.
- Since the resort opened in 1992, moments of magic have been offered to those who need it most has been a significant focus for Disneyland Paris. Each year, the destination welcomes more than 1,000 seriously ill children to experience moments of escape and joy in the parks alongside their families. This is made possible through close collaboration with more than 50 French and European associations.
- This historic milestone would not have been possible without the dedication of hundreds of Disney VoluntEARS – Cast Members who make every child’s visit unique, offering guests the chance to explore the parks, enjoy exclusive encounters with Disney characters and experience surprises tailored to their wishes.
- The celebration of the weekend continued on Sunday, March 29 when forty families from the Make-A-Wish association coming from countries across all of Europe were the first guests to step into Adventure Way and head into World of Frozen at the newly inaugurated park.
What They're Saying:
- Marie-Françoise Arrighi from the Disneyland Paris wish program: “Creating and bringing to life unique moments that inspire strength and hope is at the heart of our Disneyland Paris wish program. Our collaboration with Make-A-Wish and numerous organizations in France and across Europe enable us to address the specific needs of each child and their family."
A Grand Transformation:
- The weekend of the wish granting was a big one for Disneyland Paris, with the grand debut of the newly transformed Walt Disney Studios Park into the new Disney Adventure World, ushering in a new era for the destination.
- The occasion was marked with the grand opening of two new areas at the park, Adventure Way and World of Frozen.
- The weekend was a massive celebration, which featured a fun moment with the cast and crew behind the new areas of the park, as well as appearances by new Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro and Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski.
- Later, the full inauguration ceremony took place, featuring speeches and lively musical performances, including the aforementioned one featuring Lou and French-American singer, Santa.
