Following a launch period of solid ratings growth, Disney Channel has ordered additional episodes of its two newest animated hits -- the engaging, preschooler-oriented series "Stanley" and the "tween" appealing, NAACP Image Award-nominated series "The Proud Family," it was announced today by Disney Channel's Rich Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Programming and Production.

"Stanley," which premiered in September as part of the Playhouse Disney programming block, has quickly risen to become Disney Channel's highest rated series with two to five-year-olds. "The Proud Family," which also premiered in September during Disney Channel's hugely popular interactive on-air and on-line Zoog Disney programming block, is cable television's highest rated series in the increasingly lucrative and fast growing "tween" demographic, age 9-14. The series recently received two NAACP Image Award nominations, including one in the Outstanding Youth/Children's Series/Special category.

"Kids are responding enthusiastically to `Stanley,' a series that typifies exactly what Playhouse Disney is all about -- providing shows that are entertaining to preschoolers while at the same time supporting what parents teach them -- life skills, thinking skills and traditional academic knowledge," said Ross. He continued, "We're especially pleased to count `The Proud Family' among our recent triumphs, it has attracted additional and more diverse viewers to our burgeoning Zoog Disney programming block as well as more users to our online community, and we look forward to a long association with this landmark series."
