The Disneyland® Resort Introduces 'The Happiest Birthdays on Earth!'
Three New Ways For Guests to Celebrate

The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California will soon become the home of “The Happiest Birthdays on Earth!” with three new birthday programs. Beginning Thursday, July 4, guests are invited to celebrate their birthdays with a selection of new, customized birthday parties offered throughout the Resort, it was announced by Mary Niven, vice president of food and beverage, Disneyland Resort.

“Disneyland has a treasured history as a place where families share memorable moments of their lives,” noted Niven. “We have found that on any given day, many of our guests come to the park to celebrate their birthdays. Recognizing that they’re visiting us for these special occasions, we’ve created more ways to help them celebrate."

While the Resort already offers ways to make guests’ birthdays even more fun, such as made-to-order cakes and pre-packaged birthday parties, these three new programs begin July 4:

Disneyland park debuts all-new birthday festivities at the Plaza Inn restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A. It’s “My Disneyland Birthday Party,” a daily celebration featuring music and merriment, where a comical baker -- host “Pat E. Cake” -- leads guests in cake-decorating fun, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse make a special appearance. Everyone in attendance receives a party hat, souvenir sipper cup, plus their own mini-birthday cake, complete with sides of icing and toppings. The price is $10 per person, and seatings are at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. daily. Priority seating is available.

Birthday Magic at Full-Service Restaurants

Birthday celebrants can find birthday magic in the form of a “Sorcerer Mickey Birthday Bucket” at full-service restaurants in Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure™ park or the Disneyland Resort Hotels. The Birthday Bucket is topped with an individual-sized birthday cake - and inside, there are treats like stickers, a collectible toy and a “Happy Birthday” cloisonné pin. The Birthday Bucket is $20, and can be arranged in advance. (Not available at Downtown Disney® District restaurants.)

Fantasy Celebration Events

Guests who want to customize their birthday event can turn to the “Fantasy Celebration Events” specialists. They coordinate every detail and help make dreams come true in a variety of locations and themes. Fantasy Celebration themes include:

  • “Build a Princess” - A birthday girl receives a crown and a note that proclaims her an “honorary princess." Throughout a tour of the Resort, princess gifts are layered on (costume jewelry, flowers and a dress), the youngster encounters various Disney princesses, and the day culminates with a birthday dinner attended by a Disney princess.
  • “A Birthday Blast, To Infinity and Beyond!” - Guests are whisked away to adventures in Disneyland park as "Astro Command Trainees," capped by a visit from Buzz Lightyear.
  • “A Screamin’ Birthday Party” - Disney's California Adventure provides the screams and thrills for guests with a tour of exciting attractions and a dinner cruise. "Fantasy Celebrations" are $100 per person and a 30-day notice is requested.

Guests can also enjoy these current ways to celebrate: With "Goofy's Kitchen Birthday Bags" at Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel, guests receive a balloon, party hat, souvenir Goofy pen, toy maraca, puzzle, plus an individual cupcake for the birthday boy or girl.
