New Assignments Announced for Key Executive Posts at Disneyland® Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney®

Veteran hotelier Tony Bruno has been promoted to general manager of the Disneyland Resort hotels and will now oversee all three Disney-owned hotel properties in Anaheim. His expanded assignment, along with new posts for other key Resort executives, was announced by Randall Baumberger, senior vice president, Disneyland Resort Operations.

As part of the changes, three new hotel managers were named: Terry Furr at the 751-room Disney's Grand Californian Hotel®, Hee-Won Lim at the 990-room Disneyland® Hotel and Marcy Tanner at the 502-room Disney's Paradise Piersm Hotel. In addition, Rod Schinnerer has become general manager of the Downtown Disney® District.

According to Baumberger, "This team of seasoned hospitality experts will continue to ensure and grow the excellent service and product we provide our guests." He added, "The changes we've implemented will also allow us to improve processes, leverage resources and create consistent standards of service."

As general manager for the Disneyland Resort hotels, Bruno's new role is to provide leadership for the three hotels and oversee the implementation of several new business strategies that will strengthen the focus on the hotels' guests, employees and operations. Bruno was most recently the general manager of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. He has also served in key executive roles at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel. He joined Disney in 1988 and his career in the hotel industry spans nearly 20 years.

As part of the changes, each of the hotels are now being led by a hotel manager reporting to Bruno. Hee-Won Lim has assumed the key leadership spot at the Disneyland Hotel, and also oversees centralized Housekeeping and Recreation departments that support all three hotels. Lim was previously the general manager of the Paradise Pier Hotel and has been with Disney since 1988 when she joined Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Terry Furr is the hotel manager at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and is also responsible for the bell/valet services and dining reservations staffs that support the trio of hotels. He was most recently the director of operations at Downtown Disney. He began his Disney career in 1987 at the Walt Disney World Resort where he served in various roles that included Hotel Development and Disney's Boardwalk Resort, and transferred to the Disneyland Resort in 2000.

Marcy Tanner is now leading Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel as hotel manager and is also directing centralized front desk and lodging development teams for the three hotels. Prior to this assignment, Tanner was manager of business integration for the Disneyland Resort hotels. She started her Disney career at the Walt Disney World Resort in 1977 and joined the Disneyland Resort in 1992.

Rod Schinnerer has moved into the role of general manager, Downtown Disney, reporting to Baumberger. This new role leverages Schinnerer's extensive hospitality business experience as he leads this popular dining, entertainment and shopping district that features over 30 outlets. Schinnerer was previously the general manager of the Disneyland Hotel and joined the Disneyland Resort in 1996. His career in the hospitality industry spans over 32 years.
