Join the Cast of �So Random!� in the First Video Game Based on the Hit Disney Channel Series Sonny With A Chance
Games, gags, and laughs featuring familiar characters, environments and sketches are available now on the DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ hand-held systems
(March 16, 2010) Disney Interactive Studios today announced that Sonny With A Chance is now available for the Nintendo DS. Inspired by sets from the hit Disney Channel series, Sonny With A Chance allows fans to play more than 40 mini-games that capture the random, sketch comedy feel of the show, while immersing the player in the world of their favorite characters including Sonny, Tawni, Nico, Grady, and Zora.
“Last year, Sonny With A Chance became the top scripted series among kids age 6-11 and tweens,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “Kids really enjoy the show’s characters, random humor and sketches, so we wanted to deliver a game that brings that same experience to fans to enjoy at home or on the go.”
About the Sonny With A Chance Video Game:
In a mad dash for fan mail, players navigate through 5 interactive game boards to trigger random events, participate in special missions and collect comical power-ups. Players can customize characters with memorable costumes from the show and compete in contests inspired by their favorite sketches including Check It Out Girls and Dolphin Boy, as well as random challenges that feature pie throwing, puzzle solving, races, dancing and more. The game is set both onstage and off, which allows fans to visit locations and characters from the show including the Prop House and cafeteria, as well as on the set of “So Random!” and its rival, the serious prime time drama “Mackenzie Falls.” Sonny With A Chance also features a variety of fun mini-games such as Go So Random! and Pizza Dodger, designed specifically for Nintendo DSi. Published by Disney Interactive Studios, Sonny With A Chance is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
