Jennifer Mason and Norman Vossschulte named 2011-2012 Walt Disney World Ambassadors
(October 15, 2010) At the Magic Kingdom today President Meg Crofton announced the new Walt Disney World Ambassador team Oct. 15. Jennifer Mason and Norman Vossschulte will begin their two year term on January 1, 2011 serviing as Ambassadors during Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary. Jennifer Mason settled in Florida at age 1 after her family moved from Alabama. Growing up in nearby Clearwater, Fla., she and her family spent countless magical days at the Walt Disney World Resort. After graduating from Florida State University, Jennifer became a member of the opening team of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in 1998. Her roles at the company prepared her to serve as a leader for several Operations teams throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In 2008, Jennifer was chosen as a member of the Traditions team, where she presented pixie dust to hundreds of new cast members and welcomed them into the Disney family. Jennifer leads the Magic Kingdom Custodial team as they sweep the pathways at the place where dreams come true. Norman Vossschulte was born in Berlin, Germany. At 2, he moved with his family to Nigeria, and spent the next five years in a rural area. At 8, Norman moved to Iraq, where he would spend the next three years in the middle of the desert. His entertainment consisted of viewing taped cartoons of Mickey Mouse and comics that featured Disney characters. After graduating from college in Germany, Norman was inspired by Mickey Mouse to become an entertainer and moved to New York in 1996 to study acting. Since starting his Disney career in 2008, Norman has become a Jedi Master at the Jedi Training Academy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well as good friends with Remy from “Ratatouille” in Chefs de France in Epcot. -- Posted October 15, 2010
