Tokyo Disneyland Park will host its annual special event "Christmas Fantasy" beginning November 7 and continuing through December 25, 2006. Highlights of this heartwarming event include holiday-themed entertainment programs, such as a joyful Christmas parade featuring the Disney characters, and lovely decorations created by the magic of Tinker Bell's pixie dust.

The Christmas festivities begin at the main entrance, where the image of Mickey Mouse in the flower planter will be wearing a Santa Claus hat. Garlands and wreaths will likewise be put up in World Bazaar, where a 15-meter Christmas tree, decorated with stars and colorful ornaments, will shine and sparkle in the central crossroads.

The plaza in front of Cinderella Castle will be transformed by Tinker Bell's pixie dust into "Christmas Fantasy Plaza," where there will be another Christmas tree and photo locations with characters like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse singing Christmas carols.

During the special event, Tokyo Disneyland will present a number of charming entertainment programs perfect for the holiday season. Along the parade route, Mickey and the Disney characters will be joined by approximately 170 performers as they celebrate Christmas in "Disney's Christmas Dreams on Parade." In the show "Twinkle Holiday Moment," guests will be able to enjoy a lighting ceremony for the illumination of Cinderella Castle. Special menus and merchandise will also be offered at Park restaurants and shops.

Disney's Christmas Dreams on Parade
Parade Route
Two Performances Daily
Duration: Approx. 40 min.

"Disney's Christmas Dreams on Parade" will feature Mickey Mouse and his friends in a grand parade featuring approximately 170 characters and performers, including Santa Claus and his reindeer.

The first float in the parade will be Mickey's. The main mouse will be wearing a winter costume as white as snow and will be riding on a sleigh accompanied by Minnie Mouse. The two will be getting everyone excited about the coming of Christmas.

Next is the "Old Fashioned Christmas" unit, which will be singing Christmas carols and led by Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. They will be followed by the "Country Christmas" unit, featuring Woody from the Toy Story film series and Pluto.

Next up, Stitch and his alien cousins will be singing Hawaiian Christmas songs in the "Hawaiian Christmas" unit, then Snow White and Princess Aurora will lead the "Royal Romantic Christmas" unit in some elegant dances. Mike and Sully from the Disney/Pixar film Monsters, Inc. will join the "Toy Factory" unit to help pack Santa's bag with presents, followed by Buzz Lightyear and Pinocchio, who will be riding on a mountain of presents in the "Toys & Gifts" unit.

And of course no Christmas parade could be complete without Santa Claus. The final float will feature the jolly old elf riding in a sleigh piled high with presents for all good little boys and girls.

Note: The regular parade "Disney's Dreams on Parade" will not be performed during the "Christmas Fantasy" event period.
