A Disney Fan’s Super Bowl Recap

The Seattle Seahawks routed the Denver Broncos, 43-8, for their first Super Bowl win in franchise history.  While Super Bowl XLVIII was not the most exciting game in history, Disney fans had some reasons to celebrate.

The Muppets Most Wanted sponsored Fox’s pregame coverage.  They also partnered with Toyota for an ad that was revealed earlier this week.  They also had some viral videos as well as a new commercial for their film.  Watch a sample of the videos below.

Captain America had an ad as well as took this opportunity to premiere their new trailer.  The online reaction has been very strong.

Dreamworks’ Need for Speed, which is distributed by Disney had ad time.  They also posted an extended look on YouTube.  They also featured an online trivia contest for the chance to win automotive prizes.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers appearance during half-time brought back flashbacks of Rockin’ Space Mountain and Rockin’ California Screamin’ where their songs were featured on the onboard audio during one of Disneyland’s oddest promotions.

While not a Disney ad, T-Mobile’s featured “Whistle Stop” from Disney’s Robin Hood.  This caused the Disney fan community to freak out and get Robin Hood trending on Twitter.

For those Disney fans wondering how Cornerback Richard Sherman did, he only had 3 tackles and no sacks despite the blowout.  I guess he should stick to songwriting.
