App Review: Descendants Game

Have you seen the Original Disney Channel Movie Descendants yet? Even if you haven’t, you’ll love the new mobile game!
1
Available on iOS, Android and Windows devices, Descendants takes direct inspiration from the movie and puts in right on your device, letting you fully immerse yourself in their world. From meeting familiar characters to traveling to Auradon and the Isle of the Lost, you’ll find yourself constantly checking in and waiting for texts and notifications to see what new tasks you have. After creating your own avatar, you Join Evie, Ben, Carlos, Mal and many more on adventures and tasks to build your “Legendary Status.”

As you make your way through the game and meet more people, you’re asked to do more things such as play in the band for the Tourney games, sew costumes for the school play and paint royal portraits. Another feature as you progress is the ability to unlock new clothes and accessories to customize your character and make your own way in their world.

This game is a must have! It’s free to download but has in-app purchases. I’ve been playing the game for days now and have had no need to purchase anything, although it has been very tempting. Throughout the game, you collect special rewards that help you progress such as coins, status, and energy apples. Each task requires those apples to complete so, when you run out, you either have to go search for them by clicking on different items such as tables, chairs and garbage cans or wait for four minutes to receive a new apple. I really liked constantly having new tasks and assignments and growing my legendary status and they do a fantastic job of keeping you coming back for more.  If you enjoyed the movie, you’ll really love this fun, new app!
Lauren Showgren
Lauren has been a Disney fan all her life. On her first birthday, she received a copy of the Disney Sing-a-long, Disneyland Fun, and ever since that, she's been hardcore in learning everything she can about the park. Another one of her favorite aspects is the food and she enjoys recreating those recipes to share with her friends and family. She also loves any craft that she can add a little bit of Disney magic or a hidden Mickey to make more magical.
