Disney Springs July Update — Uniqlo and Plenty More Stores Open

IMG_1594As the summer of 2016 carries on, one thing is certain: more new shops and restaurants will open at Disney Springs. In the past few weeks, the total number of shops has just tipped over 50, turning the area it into the all-day shopping and dining experience that the Walt Disney World folks have always wanted. We’ve already taken a look at two of the bigger opening in the Coca-Cola Store and Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming Kitchen — now let’s take a look at some of the other shops that have opened.IMG_1595Under the canopied area, we have two new shops. First is the Columbia Sportswear Company, which is a name known by all, which includes lots of active wear and other clothes perfect for surviving a summer visit to the Disney Parks.IMG_1125 IMG_1126 IMG_1127The other new shop in this area is the very unique Sugarboo & Co. This shop is almost cross between a few different well-known stores but definitely has its own style. This shop has everything from inspirational wall art to whimsical stuffed animal heads and everything in between.IMG_1130 IMG_1129 IMG_1128Moving out from under the canopy, we have a hand full of shops each with their own style of clothing.

And lastly one of my favorite shops from my travels, Uniqlo.IMG_1598Uniqlo, a Tokyo-based store, is one of the “anchors” of Disney Springs, occupying two stories. This shop is home to everything from Disney House Slippers, Marvel and Star Wars shirts to full tradition Japanese outfits.IMG_1620IMG_1601 IMG_1608 IMG_1603 IMG_1606Of course Disney Springs has also introduced even more dining options. The very tasty Frontera Cocina recently opened its doors.IMG_1135Beyond the beauty of this location, the food is great. This location also brings a Mexican option that has been missing from this area for far too long.IMG_1137 IMG_1140 IMG_1143IMG_1144IMG_1142Just as Walt said about Disneyland never being complete, so it seems Disney Springs shall forever be in a state of “opening soon.” Right now the Anthropologie store is set to open on July 22 and The Polite Pig restaurant opening Spring of 2017.IMG_1596 IMG_1592That wraps up this Disney Springs update, but worry not — the way things open I will be back very soon with another.  Until then, happy shopping!
