El Capitan Theater Showcases Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

The historic El Capitan Theater is noted for its dedication to showmanship. During the run of Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast, the Hollywood Boulevard landmark has again lived up to its reputation. Special displays, social media opportunities and a spectacular pre-show are included with each admission.

In the lobby, guests can see the rose and specially created Swarovski bell jar that was used in the making of the film, and even take a selfie to share with friends. Another photo opportunity in the lobby is the Rose Wall. The lower lobby has much more to offer, with costumes, props and set pieces used in the film are on display.

Inside the theater, the auditorium has been decorated for the movie. And before each screening, the theater presents a special light and projection show featuring a spectacular Swarovski crystal curtain. Music for the presentation is a newly recorded overture, arranged by Michael Kosarin from composer Alan Menken’s music from the 1991 animated Beauty and the Beast as well as songs from the new version.

The Ghirardelli Soda Fountain is also participating. The shop features Beauty and the Beast pins and merchandise. There is a special Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Sundae or guests may enjoy a Sip ‘n See package. The Sip ‘n See consists of s cup of Twining’s exclusive Beauty and the Beast tea paired with a chocolate dipped biscotti.
