Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” Inspires L.A. Art Showcase

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to attend Fandango Fanshop and Marvel Studio’s Thor: Ragnarok Art Showcase at the Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles. The gallery is known for some of the best pop-culture artwork on display in the area, and the Thor: Ragnarok exhibit is no exception. As a massive Marvel fan and someone excited for the next Thor installment, I was definitely interested to see the illustrators’ creative spin and interpretation on the new movie. Some characters from the movie featured in the artwork include Thor, Hela, Hulk, Loki, Valkyrie, and others.

Some of my favorite pieces included work from Vance Kelly, Tony “EpicToneDogg” Hodgkinson, Khoa Ho, and Andy Fairhurst. These artists’ pieces and others can be seen below.

This impressive artwork and more for Thor: Ragnarok are on display from October 10th to November 5th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Gallery attendees can visit this exhibit free of charge after making reservations with [email protected]. Once there they can meet some of the illustrators and receive the below complimentary Thor: Ragnarok poster. Visitors also have the opportunity to purchase some of the featured artwork and exclusive posters.

Those who cannot visit the gallery can purchase artwork and exclusive Thor merchandise on the official Hero Complex Gallery website.

Thor: Ragnarok will release in theaters this year on November 2nd, 2017.
