February 1

Get ready for the “Big Game” with the latest 30 for 30 from ESPN. The Two Bills traces the relationship between these two coaching masters that spans over four decades. They first worked side by side as assistants with the New York Giants, and after Parcells took over as head coach, they won two Super Bowls together. Buttressed by what he learned from Parcells, Belichick has won five Super Bowls of his own with the Patriots and has the opportunity to capture yet another at next week’s Super Bowl LII in Minnesota.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs celebrates its 80th anniversary at the El Capitan Theatre. During this special engagement, that runs through February 7th, Snow White will appear before the film.

February 3

An environmental fable comes to an end at Epcot’s Land Pavilion as today is the final performance of Circle of Life. The space will be soon used by guest performing groups as part of the Magic Music Days program.

February 4

Today is the Super Bowl. While the Eagles and Patriots meet on the gridiron, Disney fans will be wondering what upcoming Disney films will be honored with one of those pricey commercial slots (and which of the two teams Sam Eagle must be rooting for).

Today is Peter Pan‘s 65th anniversary. The movie has had a long legacy with The Walt Disney Company with various takes of the tale being developed by the Walt Disney Studios.

February 6

Disney is set to announce their first-quarter earnings today. Expect a lot of questions about the 21st Century Fox acquisition as well as Disney’s upcoming streaming services. Follow Laughing Place for complete coverage.

February 7

X-Men Red #1 is released by Marvel today. Featuring new uniforms, a new team headquarters, and exciting new characters, X-Men Red is the series X-fans have been waiting for. “Tom has captured the spirit of a quintessential X-Men book,” said series editor Mark Paniccia. “It’s got dynamic hero moments, great character interactions, and a surprise villain at the end. Mahmud is doing some of the best work of his career, going into this fully charged and designing cool new costumes for our eclectic team. I’m thrilled to have Travis on covers for this series. I’ve always thought of him as one of the industry’s best artists. It’s a real honor to have him as part of the X-Men Red crew.”

To celebrate the commencement of the 2018 Winter Olympics, a very special Throwback Thursday screening is coming to the big screen at Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Cool Runnings for one night, Thursday, February 8th, 2018.

Love is in the air as Disney’s Lady and the Tramp has a special Valentine’s Day run at the El Capitan Theatre. Before the 7pm showings, guests may purchase a special candlelit dinner.

When Lockjaw finds out his long-lost siblings are in danger, he’ll embark on a journey which will result in a teleporting, mind-bending adventure in his new mini-series. “We’re super excited about this book. Daniel Kibblesmith—a hilarious writer who works on The Late Show and recently published a book called Santa’s Husband—has cooked up an incredibly fun, heart-filled romp around the Marvel Universe,” said series editor Wil Moss. “Back in Black Bolt #5, writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Frazer Irving finally settled the mystery of Lockjaw’s origin: He’s definitely a dog, birthed by a dog, who happens to have the power of teleportation. But now we’re going even further: How did Lockjaw obtain that power? And is he really the only Inhuman dog in the universe? So in issue #1, we find out that Lockjaw’s got brothers and sisters. From there, we’ll be following everybody’s best friend around the universe as he tracks down his siblings—along with a surprising companion, D-Man! Tonight are the “preview” showings of Black Panther prior to tomorrow’s official debut. Many theaters are hosting “Fan Events” which feature special giveaways and concession offers. Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

It is time for the latest DCOM. ZOMBIES is a music- and dance-filled story set in the fictitious world of Seabrook, a cookie-cutter community brimming with perky conformity 50 years after a zombie apocalypse. Today, the zombies pose no threat but are required to live in Zombietown, an isolated, rundown community infused with their unique creative spirit. When zombies are finally allowed to enroll in Seabrook High School, the charming, charismatic zombie Zed, who is determined to play football, meets freshman Addison who dreams of being a cheerleader – the ultimate form of status in Seabrook. Addison takes a lot of flak for befriending Zed and his zombie friends but comes to learn that zombies and cheerleaders aren’t so different after all. Zed and Addison work together to show Seabrook what they can achieve when they embrace their differences and celebrate what makes them a community.

New York Toy Fair begins today. Various Disney licensees will showcase their latest products in hopes that they will be part of your Disney purchases in 2018.

In a two-part Spider-Man on Disney XD, the web-slinger takes on Doc Ock and his Sinister Five before they brainwash Spidey and destroy New York City.

Star Wars Rebels races to its conclusion when the series returns to Disney XD tonight.

February 20

The Walt Disney Signature edition of Lady and the Tramp becomes available on digital and Movies Anywhere today.

The Disney Princess Half Marathon celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Walt Disney World Resort with a special milestone race.

A Wrinkle In Time holds its world premiere in Hollywood. The cast and crew gather for a celebration of the much-anticipated retelling of the classic children’s novel.

In the new children’s book When Pigs Fly, Henry is ready to do what no pig has done before. “But pigs can’t fly,” says his sister, Henrietta. Nothing will stop Henry from trying until it looks as though gravity might finally get the better of him. Fortunately, Henrietta has an idea that gives both of them a lift.
