UP! A Great Bird Adventure Debuts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

As part of the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the park debuted UP! A Great Bird Adventure at the Caravan Stage, the former home of Flights of Wonder. The new show continues to showcase bird species from South America, North America, India, Africa, and other locations around the globe, but now also features Russell and Dug from Up.

More than 15 species of birds make appearances, including toucans, parrots, macaws, and an African fish eagle, but in what is an apparent violation of bird show norms, they no longer do the “does anyone have a twenty” joke.

While that gag, may be gone, the show will offer FastPass+ so guests can add this experience to their plans from MyDisneyExpierience.

A fun fact that we learned about the show is that twenty animal trainers were involved in the training and rehearsal that brought the show to the stage. Four trainers work with the birds and the actors during every performance.

.As a bird show, things might not always go as planned, but that adds to the fun as you are never sure what you will see.

The show also one of many new Pixar experiences coming to Disney Parks including Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure and Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Shanghai Disneyland.

UP! A Great Bird Adventure is performed daily at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
