Holiday Tidings… in July — Previewing Walt Disney World’s Holiday Offerings

Have you ever wanted to learn more about how Walt Disney World celebrates the holiday season? Then you will want to check out the two amazing tours offered by Adventures by Disney: Yuletide Fantasy and Holiday D-Lights tour.

During the newly redesigned Yuletide Fantasy tour, you will be taken to areas that most guests don’t get to experience — where Disney Elves work hard year round, preparing for the magical holiday season to arrive. You will learn about all the magic that happens to transform the four parks into magical holiday gateways and creating magical memories (flower bouquets, Disney gift baskets and more!) with Disney Events Group at your hotel and for events. At the end of the tour, you will get to decorate and take home your own Mickey gingerbread man at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs plus other surprise take-home gifts. To learn more here.

We only experienced a small portion of what the Holiday D-Lights tour would be about, but it was enough to make me want to book the tour! We learned all about what it takes to make the castle twinkle, behind the scenes tour of both Epcot and Magic Kingdom and seating for the one of a kind Candlelight Processional. You will also experience a wonderful BBQ at Whispering Canyon Cafe, located within Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Did you know, to light the castle during one day of the holiday season (the castle is covered in twinkling lights, a sight not to miss) only takes the equivalent of three loads of laundry done at home? Amazing!

Both tours are offered on select dates in November and December. To schedule a tour, you can call (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687.

Beyond these tours, each park has something different to offer during the holidays, from the group Mostly Kosher playing in Epcot to a holiday laser show projected on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Hollywood Studios. New holiday merchandise is coming in as well, from a new set of holiday dishes to fun “ugly” Christmas sweaters to wow everyone at your next holiday party. Disney Springs will have much of the new merchandise for sale as well as the third year of the Christmas Tree Trail, with five new themed trees coming out (hint: if you like Star Wars or Magic Kingdom attractions, you will want to walk this trail).

Looking for something more off the beaten path? Try heading to the Circle D Ranch for a sleigh ride you won’t forget. With Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom, you are sure to bring the joy of the holidays to everyone in your family, dates for this after-hours party start on November 8th and run till December 21st running only on certain days. To book your tickets, you can call  (407) WDW-TOUR.
