“Descendants” Star Cameron Boyce Passes Away at 20

Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce has passed away at the age of 20, ABC News reports. According to reports, he had a seizure in his sleep related to an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. Boyce is best known to Disney fans as Carlos in the Descendants franchise (including Descendants 3 which will be released on August 2), Luke Ross in Jessie and the voice of Jake in seasons 2 and 3 of Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Update (7/10/19):

  • A spokesperson for the family of Cameron Boyce confirmed to ABC News that the actor suffered from epilepsy and that the medical condition is what caused his death.
  • "Cameron's tragic passing was due to a seizure as a result of an ongoing medical condition, and that condition was epilepsy."
