On select dates in July and August (July 20-21, 27-28 and August 3-4), guests visiting LEGOLAND Florida Resort can revel in the ultimate The LEGO Movie experience at the theme park’s newest event, The LEGO Movie Days. This new celebration of one of the most Awesome films ever is included with park admission and provides returning guests with lots of new activities — or first-time guests with a reason to spend an extra day or two at the resort.
In addition to experiencing three new rides in LEGO Movie World area of the park along with numerous attractions, guests attending The LEGO Movie Days will also have the exclusive opportunity to meet and take pictures with a brand-new The LEGO Movie character, Rex Dangervest.
One of the great things about The LEGO Movie Days schedule is that everything is broken up throughout the day, so you have plenty of time to explore the rest of the park and take part in the specific actives at your leisure. The highlight for my visit were the two scavenger hunts – Find Emmet’s Friends and Search for Hearts and Stars, located in the inside The LEGO Movie World and Miniland USA.
The Search for Hearts and Stars hunt was especially fun because it not only was a little challenging but also gave the opportunity to really explore the Miniland USA and see all the details they Master Builders put into this fun area. Once you have located the hearts and stars, you are entered into a drawing for a LEGOLAND Florida Resort experience and the kids (not adult kids) get a poster for their efforts.
For the Find Emmet’s Friends hunt, you search the LEGO Movie World area for small cut-outs of some of the stars of the film and write them down. Once you have found all the friends and turn in the slip, guests are present with a commemorative brick that will change each week during the event.
There are other hands-on activities taking place around the park that really puts you in the role of a Master Builder as you help with new displays for the park.
Of course, no special event would be complete without some unique food offerings and LEGOLAND Florida Resort has offered up some of the sweetest treats possible in the form of Disco Drop the Doughnut and Choco Dip Banana “Slip”!
Besides the great food, attractions, and beauty of this park, there is one last thing that had to be added to make this a real party: Unikitty’s Cloud Cuckoo Land Crew show.
