2021 marks the 55th anniversary of one of Disney’s most beloved attractions, “it’s a small world.” In celebration of the milestone, Disney has unveiled anniversary merchandise at the resorts that’s as charming as the ride itself.

This weekend our team visited Disneyland and spotted some new anniversary merchandise for “it’s a small world.” Among the collection of souvenirs are shirts, water bottles, mugs and the super popular board game!
Longtime fans of the attraction already know all of the lyrics to the catchy earworm played as guests voyage around the world “and a smile means friendship to everyone” is one of my favorite lines and this collection will certainly have you smiling!
The stainless steel water bottles feature two designs, one side reads “a smile means happiness and friendship” displayed over colorful circles with the animals and children of the world guests encounter on their voyage. The other side bears a pink and orange flower and says “‘it’s a small world’ 55 Years Disneyland Resort.”
As seen above, there’s a dark blue t-shirt with brightly colored images and wording featuring a goat, musical cactus, and elephant that reads, “‘it’s a small world’ Repeat, Repeat, Repeat!” A thin all-white hooded shirt showcases the attraction facade along with the words “Around the World” and the year the ride debuted, 1966.
A Disney Parks merchandise collection almost always features a mug and for this “it’s a small world” release fans will delight in depictions of elements of the ride such as the children of the world in their traditional outfits, the smiling clock, and the flowers reading goodby and various languages. The exterior background and handle are bright white and the inside is a lovely summer blue.
Finally, if you like the ride, you’ll love the game! “Collect colorful picture cards by spotting scenes that can be seen from your little boat. Can you collect the most cards before the end of the day?” Not only is this game a fun for all ages, it’s also quite beautiful to display. Fans can also find the game on shopDisney for $29.99, however it’s currently on backorder.
