ELLE Launches New Series Honoring “Modern Heroines” as Part of Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration

As part of Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration and releasing during World Princess Week, ELLE is highlighting fourteen Modern Heroines who demonstrate courage and kindness in their daily lives. ELLE kicks off the new series with four profiles featured in the September 2021 issue and at ELLE.com

What’s Happening:

  • Since April of 2021, Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration has been highlighting the Princesses fans know and love as well as their attributes of courage and kindness.
  • ELLE is joining the multi-year celebration with a new series honoring 14 real-life heroes and heroines and the Princesses that are near and dear to them.

  • Starting with the September 2021 issue, ELLE will share four “Modern Heroines” profiles of individuals who show kindness and courage and are working to inspire people of all ages. The first group featured includes:
    • Eva Longoria (Jasmine): The Generous Multihyphenate
    • Misty Copeland (Belle): The Graceful Dancer
    • Amanda Nguyen (Mulan): The Brave Justice-Seeker
    • Padma Lakshmi (Tiana): The Tenacious Foodie

  • The profile includes a stunning photograph of each woman and explains more about their career and what they’re doing to change the world. And of course they talk about their favorite Princesses.

  • Audiences can pick up the September 2021 issue of ELLE when it hits newsstands on August 31st. Modern Heroines profiles are also available online at ELLE.com.  
  • In addition to these four Modern Heroines, new profiles will launch monthly through April 2022. So stay tuned!
