For those of you who thought that crystal caverns in Star Wars: The Last Jedi were inspired by Star Tours, congratulations, you’re right! In the special features on the digital release of the film, director Rian Johnson said that he took inspiration from the original Star Tours ride where travelers are flown through icy comets.

In the initial iteration of the ride, guests were supposed to be heading on a pleasant trip to Endor but accidentally got rerouted to the Death Star! Here’s a look at the ice comet they fly through:
