“I always wanted a BROTH-AHHHHHH.” You can soon sing along at home when Mufasa: The Lion King arrives on digital and physical release.
What’s Happening:
- The at-home release of Mufasa: The Lion King has been announced in two parts for the hit feature film.
- On February 18th, the film will be made available for digital purchase on all major platforms, including Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
- On April 1st, the film will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
- The bonus features are plentiful for the at-home release, including:
- A full-length sing-along option for those to follow along with on-screen lyrics
- Finding Milele: The Making of Mufasa: The Lion King – A behind the scenes extra showcasing how director Barry Jenkins and the cast worked to bring this new story to life through technology and artistry
- Songs of the Savanna – Barry Jenkins and songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda sit down together to discuss the process of writing new music for the film
- Ostrich Eggs with Timon & Pumbaa – The hilarious pair share hidden references throughout the film
- Protect the Pride – Find out how Disney and The Lion Recovery Fund are working together to conserve lions and their prides in the wild
- Outtakes – Bloopers from the cast’s time in the recording booth
- The release will also include four deleted scenes and a music video for “I Always Wanted a Brother” IRL.
- For those who want a real collectible, the 4K UHD release will be made available in a limited edition SteelBook.
