The Walt Disney Family Museum Set to Host Talk with Sons of Wolfgang “Woolie” Reitherman this February

The talk is alligned with the current "Directing at Disney" special exhibition

At San Francisco’s Walt Disney Family Museum, a new special presentation will explore the legendary work of Disney Animation director and artist Wolfgang “Woolie” Reitherman.

What’s Happening:

  • The Walt Disney Family Museum has announced an exclusive talk with the sons of Wolfgang “Woolie” Reitherman as they explore the work of the Disney Legend and director.
  • Happening in conjunction with their Directing at Disney exhibit, the Directing at Disney with the Sons of Disney Legend Wolfgang "Woolie" Reitherman invites Disney fans to the Walt Disney Family Museum’s theater on February 22nd.
  • Starting at 1PM, Bruce Reitherman and Robert Reitherman will share their perspective of Woolie and his career, including projects like directing Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree and The Jungle Book as well as his voice work of Christopher Robin and Mowgli.
  • Wolfgang “Woolie” Reitherman was a member of Walt’s “Nine Old Men,” who were a group of Walt Disney Productions’ core animators. Woolie is responsible for animating some of Disney’s most iconic films, including the Slave in the Magic Mirror in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Monstro in Pinocchio, and the dinosaur fight in Fantasia.
  • Tickets will run Walt Disney Family Museum members $25 dollars, with general tickets costing $45 for adults, $35 for youths, and free for children under 5.
