Review Roundup: “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”

The social embargo has lifted on the upcoming Disney+ original series.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the newest series from Marvel Animation, has finally lifted its embargo and fans are ravenous about their love for the series.

Across social media, those who had the privilege to view the show prior to its release date now have the ability to post their opinions and, based solely on these initial thoughts, the show is bound to be a hit.

We thought the series itself was “perfectly balanced”, which is arguably a difficult feat for another Spider-Man story.

There was some skepticism from some, especially due to the numerous Spider-Man origin stories and animated series we’ve received over the years.

Some enjoyed the series as a whole, but up against X-Men ‘97, it isn’t able to reach those heights.

Yet, most shared glowing reviews of the series, highlighting its kinetic energy and its ability to be completely original (outside of MCU proper).

Compliments for Jeff Trammell’s writing and Colman Domingo’s (newly minted Oscar-nominated, no less) voice over performance also help create a greater picture of the love for this series.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man debuts January 29th on Disney+.
