2010 Shareholder Meeting Update #13 – Q&A, Disney Stores

Question: Doug, Shareholder from Texas: Disney Stores don’t have a lot of high-end merchandise and don’t seem to have much direction. Any comments on where they’re going and how they might become more magical again.

Iger: The stores are very important for the company for bottom line and because good brand builders. We sold the stores and unhappy with results purchased them back and hard at work creating and implementing a new concept. Focus on quality, not quantity. Make the experience overall better. Will roll out this spring but will take some time to get across the country. Long term changing the concept and mix and quality of merchandise will deliver a lot more value ot shareholders and shoppers.
