2010 Shareholder Meeting Update #15 – Q&A, Dining Reservation Issues

Question: Roger, Austin Texas: Use to be in Orange County. There are two Disney guests – one that come no matter what, and ones like his coworker that took her family for first time. Regulars know how to use the system.  Problem with reservations is people can make reservations for the same time at multiple restaurants. As a result getting  same-day reservations is very difficult. Most regular guests won’t be happy with this when they find out they can’t use their  Disney Dining Plan because it’s fully booked.

Jay Rasulo, current CFO, former Parks and Resorts Chief

Rasulo (former Parks and Resorts Chief): You’re not the lone ranger, a lot of people have contact about similar issues. First: Extended booking date to 180 days.  But will admit popularity of dining plans have outstripped the capability to make every guest happy and a large team is working on making the system more equitiable.
