Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides To Film at Pinewood Studios

Part of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be filmed at the legendary Pinewood Studios of England and at other locations in the UK. While Pinewood Studios is perhaps best known as the home to many James Bond films, the Disney Company has a long history with Pinewood Studios. In fact all the dialogue for Disney’s classic “Swiss Family Robinson” had to be re-recorded at Pinewood Studios after it was discovered there was a problem with the audio recorded on location. Pinewood Studios is home to 18 stages and 3 exterior lots. It also features a permanently filled underwater filming stage and one of the largest exterior water tanks in Europe in addition to interior tanks on 6 of their stages.
