Disney/ABC Television Group wins total of 19 Emmy Awards

ABC’s “Modern Family” received 3 Emmy wins, more than any other single series. The freshman comedy won “Outstanding Comedy Series,” actor Eric Stonestreet captured his first-ever Emmy Award (Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series) and executive producers Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd won Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series prize for the pilot episode. Producers from Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Series at the Creative Arts Emmys. At the August 21st announcement of the Creative Emmys ABC’s holiday program “Prep & Landing” won four awards, more than any other broadcast program — Outstanding Animated Program. storyboard artist Joe Mateo, art director Andy Harkness and background key designer William M. George III each won individual Emmys for their work.
