Epic Mickey’s creative team share the story of game’s development. According to Creative Director Warren Spector brought a fantasy game idea to Disney execs and when they didn’t embrace it, they offered another concept which included Mickey Mouse. Spector was surprised at the opportunity to feature the iconic character and says that some of those original game concepts are found in the completed game. In the video he along with others on the creative team explain the role of storytelling in a gaming environment and share the story that is at the heart of the adventures in Epic Mickey.
