Walt Disney World Weather Report for April 13 from @WDW_Weather

Hopefully you are a faithful reader of Laughing Place and you stumbled upon this little weather report yesterday because if you did – you weren’t caught off guard by the short blast of rain that surprised many late afternoon yesterday!  As someone who has been forecasting weather for years – I really wish I had been doing this for a lot longer because I’ve gotten great feedback from people especially during severe weather on how it helps them better enjoy the parks and know when to do certain things.  So before I give the very boring forecast for today … thank you once again to Laughing Place for posting my ramblings every morning :-)!

Now where were we … ah yes … the boring weather pattern for today.  I was commenting to my dad last night on the phone.  It’s strange to really feel the summer heat creeping into Central Florida on a day to day basis without the real mention of the switch over to our raining season.  With high pressure very much in effect the last couple of days I could feel the humidity creeping in and temperatures were well above average for the last few days, but it stayed incredibly dry!  This is great news for visitors – not so great news for locals who live here who wouldn’t mind a little help with their lawn.  Never fear … it’s science the rainy season will be here before you know it – it’s just taking a little while to get it’s act into gear.

In the short term though it will stay dry for the time being.  A cool front passed yesterday and this will bring some “drier” air to the area…this air mass will warm throughout the day so temperatures will once again be a little above average however the dry air WILL allow temperatures to drop a little below average when it comes to low temperatures overnight.  High temps today and tomorrow will max out somewhere around the mid 80s and as we approach the weekend temperatures will once again gradually warm.

You know what there’s a little bit of uncertainty as we go into the weekend so I’ll leave it at this for now – looks like temps will rise and fall a little bit as we head into next week but I’m not sold on precipitation models right now.  Some moisture will work it’s way back into the area so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a little afternoon thundershower on Friday or even Saturday with once again drying in place on Sunday (see I never know when to stop typing).  Have a great day every one!
