Walt Disney World Weather Report for June 15 from @WDW_Weather

I threw today’s first forecast out as a new update came out as I was about to hit send to laughing place so I apologize for the delay – but the atmosphere has become a little more unstable and I would have to say thunderstorms are now LIKELY especially along the coast.  That said the sea breeze should push inland a little faster as well today which will allow for a sea breeze collision over the interior this afternoon which should also increase the possibility of thunderstorms for the Orlando area.

These things get tricky because the mechanism for thunderstorms isn’t something that is easily tracked like a front or something like that – these things pop up on a minute by minute basis so if anything severe pops up I will update you that minute via Twitter @WDW_Weather.

For those of us on the ground and not in the mid to upper layers of the atmosphere you can expect a pretty similar day to yesterday.  HOT.  Yeah that’s the forecast in a nutshell – HOT!  High temperatures will soar into the upper 90s and with the humidity it will once again feel like we are in the triple digits.  It is incredibly dangerous to be in the parks on days like this – during the heat of the day – so please make sure you stay hydrated.  I’m not sure if you know this but any drink stand with a fountain beverage service will give you a cup of water with ice for free – use that service – it’s one of the principles held over from opening day at Disneyland FYI.

As we go through the week there’s a chance for thunderstorms though I increase the chances tomorrow up to 40 percent as a disturbance rolls through – but we are getting into that time of year where it’s very likely that someone somewhere is going to see rain every afternoon…so be safe out there.

Once again as far as tropical weather is concerned – the National Hurricane Center is not currently monitoring any areas in the Atlantic.
