Walt Disney World Weather Report for January 3rd from @WDW_Weather

Let me start (brighten) your day by running off the list of warnings and advisories in effect shall we:

  • Freeze Warning
  • Red Flag Warning
  • Wind Chill Advisory
  • Lake Wind Advisory
  • And then there’s a Hazardous Weather Outlook thrown in just for laughs!

I tell you this much it pays to be a weather guy because I was able to pay off Mother Nature to give me some nice weather while I was in town only to leave yesterday morning to fly back into SNOW!  So be thankful you didn’t have to see any white flakes fall from the sky to bring in the new year!  Anyway it’s safe to say that Blizzard Beach will be closed today and tomorrow (I am pretty sure about tomorrow but I know for sure about today).  I am sorry for the people from Green Bay who would actually WANT to go to a waterpark in this cold – but for the most part I don’t think you would want to be there today anyway.

In fact make sure you bundle up wherever you go because today, while there will be sunshine – as I type this at 9am it still isn’t even 40 degrees.  I do not expect temperatures to get out of the 50s today and tonight/tomorrow morning it will get down right around freezing (I.e.-32) for a low and you will need more than that light jacket to get through if you plan on walking around the parks late tonight.

We bounce back pretty good through the week and by Thursday are back into the mid 60s and by the weekend we should see plenty of sunshine and we’ll be back into the 70s for highs.
