Disney Shuts Down LucasArts After 31 Years of Making Games

Five months after Disney acquired LucasFilm for $4.05 billion, Disney has decided to shut down the company’s game creation studio LucasArts which has been making games for 31 years. Disney will instead license the properties to other game studios. The move means layoffs and the putting on hold of two major projects – First Assault and 1313.
