THR: 'Doctor Strange' Heating Up as Marvel Vets Directors

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel has begun the search for a director as they continue development on a Doctor Strange film.  Among those being considered is Brave’s co-writter and co-director Mark Andrews.  Others being considered include Nikolaj Arcel, who wrote and directed last year’s best foreign film Oscar-nominated film A Royal Affair; Dean Israelite, the director of the upcoming Welcome to Yesterday; and Jonathan Levine, who directed Warm Bodies and 50/50.

According to the report, Marvel is also looking for a writer but is open to having the same person write and direct the film.  No release date has been announced for Doctor Strange.
