It seems that today may be a slow Disney Day, but that doesn’t stop us from finding ways to celebrate every day with The Walt Disney Company:
It’s a night of premieres on Disney Channel starting at 730 with a new episode of Dog with a Blog. Stan uses a computerized robot to go to school with Avery and Tyler where he feels pressured into deciding if he should join Avery or Tyler’s social circle.
Then at 800 it is the premiere of the latest Disney Channel Original Movie. How to Build a Better Boy follows best friends Gabby Harrison and Mae Hartley, two tech- whizzes who computer-program Albert, the perfect virtual boyfriend for Mae. However, when Albert inadvertently comes to life as an advanced robotic soldier, they wind up triggering a national incident.
Then at 945, a special guest star appears on Girl Meets World. When Maya’s artwork is featured at a school event, Riley sees it as an opportunity to help Maya mend her relationship with her mother. Meanwhile, Cory and Topanga get a surprise visit from their childhood friend Minkus from Boy Meets World.
Philadelphia’s Taney Little League team – led by ace Mo’Ne Davis – make their Little League World Series debut at 3 p.m. against the returning Nashville, Tenn. team and outfielder/pitcher Blake Money on ESPN. Davis is the 17th girl to participate in the Little League World Series and the first girl to represent the United States since 2004. Teams from Mexico; Canada; Venezuela; Japan; Pearland, Texas; and Cumberland, R.I.; will also debut on Friday.
