Former Mouskateer Ryan Gosling is in talk to star in Guillermo del Toro’s Haunted Mansion film for Disney according to The Wrap. The film was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2010.
No release date was given but the script is currently being worked on by D.V. DeVincentis (“High Fidelity”).
The Haunted Mansion was previously adapted for the big screen in 2003 for a film starring Eddie Murphy. This new film is not expected to have any connection to the previous movie.
Previously Guillermo del Toro was attached to produce a line of films under the Disney Double Dare You, however those films were never produced following the departure of Disney Studios’ head Dick Cook
